Booking notes

Payment is to be made upon booking or boarding.
The Chasing Horizons’ Crew reserves the right to exclude and ditch a passenger for bad manners, drunkenness or just general bad behaviour.
Be kind to Ses’fikile, or else!
Chasing Horizons is responsible for your well being, as far the trip is concerned, however, this responsibility ends if you are considered to have abandoned the trip, acted unlawfully or go AWOL!!!

Chasing Horizons is about special experiences and hence we don’t necessarily only go for the tourist attractions, how about concerts or events of the cultural and arts kind? We want to take you to these in ‘Ses’fikile’, our luxury, air-conditioned Sprinter. ‘Ses’fikile’ means ‘we have arrived’ is that not appropriate??

If there is any event, at any time, that you would be interested in attending, drop us an e-mail and we will pencil it in, advertise it and we could be going! Events such as Oppi Koppi, Burning Man, and Bushfire are all musts and you are guaranteed to find us there! We are willing to do pick-ups anywhere, anytime, for a minimum of 8 Passengers, due to travelling one way empty.

Nothing will be ‘normal’, these are not organised tours with scheduled stops, this is bespoke and unique, anything but the mainstream and not necessarily touristy at all. It’s about those who have the itch to get out there, who have that wild look in their eyes on a Friday afternoon and are knackered at work on Monday but not from booze!

Peruse through our activities and have a look at the endless opportunities to explore; off the beaten track with Chasing Horizons!

  • Physicality: Medium
    Physical rating

From relaxed (low) to ones where you need to be fit to join in.

No surprises here. These tours/activities are those most anyone can do if they are fine with fairly flat walks and getting in and out of transport.

Like to be active, even very active, but not pushed too far. This is the one for you.

These tours/activities require you to be very fit. Probably not suitable for children.

  • Culture shock: Low
    Culture shock rating

Some tours or activities are a total immersion ... others offer just a taste of a different way of life. Below is how we've classified things to help you make a selection.

Consider these tours or activities as unlikely to surprise. They will still give you fantastic insight into the destination and/or a great experience.

You might find yourself on these tours/activities confronted by quite a different way of doing things to that you are familiar with. Think food, language, customs, religions, mode of transport. For the slightly more adventurous.

Think things you probably wouldn't do on your own ...

Take a trip around Swaziland and visit any, or all, of the three beautiful regions. Experience everything that SD has to offer from the arts to culture to cuisine and a little wildlife too. Half or full day trips are available.

Need some new loot? Come on a personal, guided tour of SD’s eclectic markets. We’ll teach you how to bargain for all the amazing crafts and curios that our country has to offer. We proudly support local markets and home grown products!

Hike and splash! Spend the day at some of the beautiful waterfalls in Swaziland. Take in the breathtaking scenery, go for a dip, or leap...if you dare!

Tired of those boring Sundays? Take a ride with us, and visit all of the pubs that SD has to offer – while experiencing a little culture and scenery along the way!

Chasing Horizons makes a great sober driver. If you and your mates are planning a night out on the town, or are having a party, let us take you safely to your destination. Did we mention we have an amazing stereo?

Get up close and personal with some of Africa’s most majestic animals, the Big Five included! Take a day safari of SD’s National Parks and experience our proud national heritage. Swaziland has some of the best white rhino sightings in all of Africa!

Chasing Horizons is a strong supporter of everything Bushfire, it’s a great venue and amazing experience for all who attend and we are intent on helping you have an exciting and utterly memorable Bushfire experience.

Our Campsite, known as ‘Jerry’s Place’, is situated on Buhleni Farm, in the Ezulwini Valley, in amongst a pecan plantation. We have a new ablution block, as well as kitchen facilities and braai area. If you want to partake, there is even a floodlit Volleyball Court! We provide a shuttle service to and from Bushfire, allowing you to enjoy this amazing festival to the full.

The beach is closer than you think! Let us give you a break, a weekend in Belin or Ponto D’Ouro. Spend your days relaxing on the beach, or joining the numerous activities the endless ocean has to offer, like boat trips and swimming with dolphins! Spend your evenings enjoying the night life. The trip includes, transport, accommodation and food. We will help you customise your weekend to fit any budget.

Need REAL nightlife? You’ve come to the right place! Bars, night clubs, bright lights, skimpy dresses; sleeping is NOT an option! Save money on accommodation, and buy a friend a shot instead! Get ready for the ultimate all nighter in Maputo!

Can’t get enough of the city lights? Fancy prawns? Get out of Swaziland for the day, and let us deal with the traffic. Take a city tour, visit local markets, sip beers on the beach, and hey, maybe you’ll learn something too!

Quick trip to Maputo for Sunday Lunch! Eat all the prawns and delicious fresh seafood you can muster; then sleep off your food coma while we drive you home.

Mozambique’s hidden gem. A perfect place for history buffs, as Inhambane is one of MZ’s oldest ports, still operating. A quick hop from Tofu brings you to one of Mozambique’s hottest spots!

Grab your gear and hop into the 4X4 for an amazing bush camping adventure in Mozambique’s wild Trans-frontier Park, bordering the world-renowned Kruger National Park. After that, hit the beach to wash off all of that bush funk!

There is nothing like the thrill of live music and pulsating crowds, whether it’s hard and heavy or bouncing reggae. Exploring live music is Chasing Horizons’ style and we want to attend all manner of music festivals in the future! Whatever special musical events or concerts are coming up, bands or artists are visiting South Africa we are there! Bushfire Swaziland, of course!!! Carnival de Maputo... tutu bein! Style and genre do not matter, feel the beat, get on your feet, and let’s chase horizons.

If you know of a great event coming up on the horizon, let us know!!!!

We are going to great events such as ‘Top Gear’, ‘Big Boys Toys’ and ‘The Put Foot Rally’. For a different experience and for an awesome excuse to travel to Durban, come and enjoy South Africa’s great venues and events, look out for upcoming events or make your own suggestions.

The kind of events which get your pulse racing, explore the endless possibilities within South African Motorsport Events and travel as far afield as Botswana for the Desert Races; sure to get the traveller/petrol head in you turned!

We are very keen Mountain Bikers, for many reasons, it’s a great way to see the world, especially Swaziland, it’s environmentally friendly, bikes can go anywhere and it’s great for personal health and fitness. We are opening and developing mountain bike routes and trips around Swaziland. Watch this space and join us, we have one for the best countries for mountain biking in Southern Africa!

At Chasing Horizons, we support cycling as a sport, as a recreational activity and as a social tool, to enable the improvement of tourists’ experiences. Having only started cycling recently in Swaziland there is a lot we don’t know about, but we are learning, and competing, and we are going across the border for events and training.

If you’re local, get in touch, let’s ride and train together! If you’re from outside, you are welcome bring your bike or borrow ours and we’ll proudly show you Swaziland at whatever pace you desire.

Attend any and all sporting events across our borders; we will take you to Jozi, Durbs or the bright lights of Cape Town, for anything from Motorsport to the Cape Argus. Runners, who want to travel as a group, hire Ses’fikile and take the hassle out of your trip to the Comrades Marathon.

Trips like these generally need a minimum of ten passengers, but we are gathering groups of similar interest together so get in touch!
